Prior to joining O’Brien Traffic in 2004, I commenced my career as a transport analyst for Kittelson & Associates Inc. (transportation consultants) in Portland, Oregon, USA where I developed an understanding of intersection operation, road network planning, roundabout design, and traffic impact analysis.
I have substantial experience in intersection analysis and design, freeway operations, traffic modelling using SIDRA, PARAMICS and AIMSUN, public transport interchange design and operations, network planning for traffic, bicycles, and buses, and the preparation and assessment of large scale traffic impact assessments. I have a particular interest in developing solutions for safety blackspots and in identifying network capacity improvements.
I have worked on a number of major projects including Moonee Valley Racecourse, Caulfield Racecourse, the Chadstone and Eastland Shopping Centres, Melbourne Airport, Peninsula Link, and the Southern Expressway duplication in Adelaide. I have also had significant involvement in the review of major transport projects such as the East West Link and the Western Port Highway upgrade.
